Born on August 22, 1979, in New York City, Aaron Boyd grew up in a family of musicians. His father, Ronald Boyd, was a violinist, and his mother, Mary Boyd, was a pianist. Aaron Boyd's parents recognized his musical talent at an early age and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Aaron Boyd began his musical training at the age of four, studying the violin with his father. He later studied with renowned violinists such as Dorothy DeLay, Itzhak Perlman, and Pinchas Zukerman. Aaron Boyd attended the Juilliard School, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 2001 and his Master of Music degree in 2003.
