Born on 12th May 1965 in London, England, Canter showed an early interest in music and began playing the clarinet at the age of eight. He attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under some of the most renowned clarinetists of the time. He graduated with honors and went on to perform with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. Canter's career took off in the early 1990s when he was invited to perform with the London Symphony Orchestra. He quickly established himself as one of the most talented clarinetists of his generation, and his performances were met with critical acclaim. He went on to perform with many other orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. One of Canter's most significant achievements was his performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A Major.
