Dwayne Croft is a renowned American baritone opera singer who has made a significant impact in the classical music industry. He was born on August 23, 1955, in Cooperstown, New York, and grew up in a musical family. His father was a church choir director, and his mother was a pianist. Croft's love for music began at a young age, and he started singing in his church choir when he was just six years old. Croft attended the State University of New York at Potsdam, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. He then went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he received a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. During his time at Juilliard, Croft studied under the tutelage of renowned vocal coach Beverley Peck Johnson.
