Alastair Ross is a renowned classical music artist who has made significant contributions to the world of music. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1952, Ross grew up in a family that was passionate about music. His father was a professional musician, and his mother was a music teacher. Ross showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Ross's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where he studied piano and harpsichord. After completing his studies, Ross began performing as a soloist and accompanist in various concerts and recitals. In the early 1980s, Ross moved to London, where he became a sought-after harpsichordist. He performed with several leading orchestras, including the English Baroque Soloists, the Academy of Ancient Music, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
