Born on May 1, 1977, in Arnhem, Netherlands, Oliemans grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. He studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and later at the Dutch National Opera Academy, where he received his master's degree in 2003. Oliemans made his professional debut in 2002 as Papageno in Mozart's "The Magic Flute" at the Dutch National Opera. He quickly gained recognition for his rich, warm voice and his ability to convey emotion through his performances. He has since performed at some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls, including the Royal Opera House in London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Berlin Philharmonic. One of Oliemans' most notable performances was his portrayal of the title role in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Salzburg Festival in 2014. His performance was praised for its depth and nuance, and he was hailed as one of the finest interpreters of the role in recent years. He has also received critical acclaim for his performances in other Mozart operas, including "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Così fan tutte." In addition to his work in opera, Oliemans is also a sought-after concert performer.
