Role:ConductorMónica Waisman is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on August 22, 1965, Waisman showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of six. Her parents, both musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Waisman's musical education began at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires, where she studied with renowned violinist Ljerko Spiller. She later continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay and Hyo Kang. Waisman also studied with Felix Andrievsky at the Royal College of Music in London. Waisman's talent and dedication to music quickly became evident, and she began to receive recognition for her performances. In 1984, she won first prize in the National Violin Competition in Argentina, and in 1986, she won the prestigious Juilliard Concerto Competition. Waisman has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra. One of Waisman's most memorable performances was her debut with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1990.
