The Symphony Orchestra of Norrlands Opera is a classical music ensemble based in Umeå, Sweden. The orchestra was founded in 1974 as the Norrlandsoperans Symfoniorkester, and has since become one of the most renowned orchestras in Sweden. The orchestra is made up of approximately 70 musicians, and is led by conductor Henrik Schaefer. The ensemble's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary works. Over the years, the Symphony Orchestra of Norrlands Opera has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in Sweden and around the world.
