Genre:ChamberChoralBerliner Solisten is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1993 in Berlin, Germany. The ensemble is made up of some of the most talented musicians in the country, and they have gained a reputation for their exceptional performances of classical music. The founding members of Berliner Solisten were violinist Daniel Stabrawa, cellist Ludwig Quandt, and pianist Markus Groh. Stabrawa and Quandt were both members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and Groh was a rising star in the classical music world. The three musicians had played together in various chamber music groups and decided to form their own ensemble. The ensemble quickly gained recognition for their outstanding performances, and they were soon invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe. In 1994, they made their debut at the Berlin Philharmonic, and they have since performed at venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Over the years, the ensemble has expanded to include other talented musicians, including violist Wolfram Brandl, clarinetist Andreas Ottensamer, and horn player Stefan Dohr. The ensemble's core members, however, remain Stabrawa, Quandt, and Groh. One of the highlights of Berliner Solisten's career was their performance at the 2006 Salzburg Festival. The ensemble performed Mozart's Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478, with Groh on piano. The performance was hailed as one of the highlights of the festival, and it was later released on CD. In addition to their performances, Berliner Solisten has also received numerous awards and accolades. In 1996, they were awarded the Echo Klassik award for their recording of Brahms' Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25. They have also been nominated for several Grammy Awards, including Best Chamber Music Performance and Best Classical Album. Berliner Solisten's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from the Baroque era to contemporary works. They have recorded several albums, including works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert. Despite their success, the members of Berliner Solisten remain committed to their craft and continue to strive for excellence in their performances. They are known for their passion and dedication to classical music, and they have inspired countless audiences around the world with their exceptional performances.More....
