Ernst Ottensamer was a renowned Austrian clarinetist and conductor, known for his exceptional musicianship and contributions to the world of classical music. Born on June 15, 1955, in Vienna, Austria, Ottensamer grew up in a family of musicians, with his father and brother both being accomplished clarinetists. This early exposure to music sparked his interest in the clarinet, and he began playing the instrument at a young age. Ottensamer's talent for the clarinet quickly became apparent, and he began studying at the Vienna Music Academy at the age of 14. In 1979, Ottensamer joined the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as a clarinetist, a position he held for over 30 years.
