Catherine Manoukian is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist. She was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1979, and grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a violinist, and her mother was a pianist, so it was only natural that Catherine would follow in their footsteps. Catherine began playing the violin at the age of four, and by the time she was six, she was already performing in public. She studied at the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. She then went on to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where she earned her Master's degree in Music Performance. Throughout her career, Catherine has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. One of Catherine's most notable performances was at the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. Catherine has also won numerous awards throughout her career. In 2002, she won the first prize at the International Violin Competition in Cremona, Italy. She has also won the first prize at the International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland, and the International Violin Competition in Novosibirsk, Russia. She has taught at the Lebanese National Conservatory of Music, the Royal College of Music in London, and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia.
