Maîtrise de Paris is a world-renowned classical music artist that has been captivating audiences with their exceptional performances for decades. The group was founded in 1946 by Marcel Couraud, a French conductor and composer, with the aim of providing young singers with the opportunity to develop their musical talents and perform at the highest level. The group started out as a small choir of 30 children, but over the years it has grown to become one of the most respected and admired choral ensembles in the world. Today, Maîtrise de Paris consists of over 150 young singers, aged between 8 and 25, who are selected through a rigorous audition process. The group's repertoire is diverse and includes works from the Renaissance to the present day, with a particular focus on French music. They have performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of the highlights of Maîtrise de Paris's career was their performance at the opening ceremony of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. The group sang the French national anthem, "La Marseillaise," in front of a global audience of millions, and their performance was widely praised for its beauty and emotional power. Maîtrise de Paris has also won numerous awards and accolades over the years, including the Grand Prix du Disque, one of the most prestigious awards in the classical music world. They have also been recognized for their contributions to French culture, receiving the title of "Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" from the French government.
