One of the highlights of the French Radio Orchestra's history was its performance at the 1958 World Exposition in Brussels, Belgium. The orchestra played a program of French music, including works by Debussy, Ravel, and Saint-Saëns. The performance was well-received and helped to establish the orchestra's reputation as one of the premier classical music ensembles in Europe. In 1967, the French Radio Orchestra moved into its current home, the Maison de la Radio in Paris.
