Viktoria Postnikova is a renowned classical pianist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. She was born on August 12, 1944, in Moscow, Russia. Her father, Yevgeny Postnikov, was a well-known conductor, and her mother, Vera Gornostaeva, was a pianist and professor at the Moscow Conservatory. Postnikova grew up in a musical family and started playing the piano at the age of five. Postnikova's talent was evident from a young age, and she quickly became a prodigy. She studied at the Moscow Central Music School and later at the Moscow Conservatory, where she was taught by some of the most prominent pianists of the time, including Yakov Flier and Emil Gilels. She graduated from the conservatory in 1966 with honors. Postnikova's career took off in the late 1960s when she won the first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1966.
