Massimo de Bernart is a renowned Italian conductor and musicologist who has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Born on December 22, 1959, in Turin, Italy, de Bernart showed an early interest in music and began studying the piano at the age of six. He later went on to study composition and conducting at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. De Bernart's career as a conductor began in the early 1980s when he was appointed as the principal conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo. He quickly gained a reputation for his dynamic and expressive conducting style, and his ability to bring out the best in his musicians. In 1985, he was appointed as the principal conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most prestigious orchestras in Italy. Over the years, de Bernart has conducted many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. He also oversaw the renovation of the theater, which had been damaged by a fire in 1936.
