Timothy Ridout is a British violist who has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young musicians of his generation. Born in London in 1995, Ridout grew up in a musical family and began playing the viola at the age of six. He studied at the Purcell School of Music and later at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he was a student of Martin Outram.
