Alexei Volodin is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with his virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of some of the most beloved works in the piano repertoire. Born in 1977 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Russia, Volodin showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. Under the guidance of his first teacher, Tatiana Zelikman, Volodin quickly developed his skills and began to win competitions and awards. In 1997, he won first prize at the International Gilels Piano Competition in Odessa, Ukraine, and in 1998 he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, one of the most prestigious competitions in the classical music world.
