Birth:October 10, 1988Jodie Devos is a Belgian soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on May 12, 1988, in Brussels, Belgium, Devos grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a jazz musician, and her mother was a classical pianist. Devos started singing at a young age and showed a natural talent for music. Devos began her formal music education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she studied under the guidance of Dina Grossberger. She later continued her studies at the Conservatoire National SupĆ©rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she studied with Malcolm Walker. Devos also attended masterclasses with renowned singers such as Teresa Berganza, Mirella Freni, and Christa Ludwig. Devos made her professional debut in 2012, performing the role of Barbarina in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the OpĆ©ra de Lausanne in Switzerland. She quickly gained recognition for her talent and was invited to perform in various opera houses and festivals across Europe. One of Devos's most notable performances was her portrayal of Olympia in Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" at the OpĆ©ra de Lyon in 2014. Her performance was praised for its technical precision and comedic timing. Devos also received critical acclaim for her performance as Zerbinetta in Richard Strauss's "Ariadne auf Naxos" at the OpĆ©ra de Lille in 2016.
