Born on May 5, 1992, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Vis showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was a prodigious talent and quickly progressed in his studies, winning several local and national competitions. Vis continued his musical education at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Jan Wijn. During his time at the conservatory, Vis honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the classical repertoire. He also had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses with some of the world's leading pianists, including Murray Perahia, András Schiff, and Lang Lang. In 2014, Vis graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with a Bachelor of Music degree, and he went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany.
