Prima Carezza is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 in Vienna, Austria. The group consists of four members: violinist Maria, cellist Anna, pianist Lisa, and clarinetist Sophie. The ensemble's name, which means "first caress" in Italian, reflects their goal of creating music that touches the hearts of their listeners. The members of Prima Carezza all come from different musical backgrounds, but they share a passion for classical music and a desire to bring it to a wider audience. Maria and Anna both studied at the Vienna Conservatory, while Lisa and Sophie studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. The ensemble's first major performance was in 2013 at the Vienna Musikverein, one of the most prestigious concert halls in the world. They received rave reviews for their performance of Beethoven's "Archduke" Trio, and their career took off from there. Since then, Prima Carezza has performed at some of the most renowned concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. They have also toured extensively in Asia, performing in Japan, South Korea, and China. One of the highlights of Prima Carezza's career was their performance at the Salzburg Festival in 2016. They were invited to perform as part of the festival's "Rising Stars" program, which showcases young and talented musicians from around the world. Their performance of Schubert's "Trout" Quintet was hailed as one of the highlights of the festival. In addition to their live performances, Prima Carezza has also released several recordings. Their debut album, "First Caress," was released in 2014 and features works by Mozart, Brahms, and Schumann. Their second album, "From Vienna with Love," was released in 2017 and features works by Viennese composers such as Johann Strauss II and Franz Lehár. Prima Carezza has received numerous awards and accolades throughout their career. In 2015, they were awarded the "Rising Star" award by the European Concert Hall Organisation, which recognizes young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise. They were also awarded the "Echo Klassik" award in 2016 for their recording of Schubert's "Trout" Quintet. Despite their success, the members of Prima Carezza remain humble and dedicated to their craft. They continue to rehearse and perform together regularly, always striving to improve and bring their music to new audiences. Their passion for classical music and their commitment to excellence have made them one of the most exciting and promising ensembles in the world today.
