L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra is a Canadian classical music ensemble that specializes in performing Baroque music on period instruments. L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra takes its name from the legendary musician, Orpheus, who was said to have had the power to charm all living things with his music. The ensemble's mission is to bring the music of the Baroque era to life, using period instruments and historically informed performance practices.
