He studied under some of the most prominent music teachers in Austria, including Bruno Seidlhofer and Hans Swarowsky. Rudolf's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly became one of the most promising young musicians in Austria. In 1955, Rudolf graduated from the Vienna Music Academy with honors. He then went on to study at the Salzburg Mozarteum, where he continued to hone his skills as a pianist. Rudolf's big break came in 1958 when he won the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
