Altinoglu's musical education began at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nice, where he studied piano and conducting. He later continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied with renowned conductors such as Pierre Dervaux and Manuel Rosenthal. Altinoglu's career as a conductor began in 1998 when he was appointed as the assistant conductor of the Orchestre National de Lyon. He quickly gained recognition for his talent and was soon invited to conduct other major orchestras, including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre National de France, and the London Symphony Orchestra.
