Jeremy Huw Williams is a Welsh baritone who has established himself as one of the leading classical music artists of his generation. Born in 1969 in Aberystwyth, Wales, Williams grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. He studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1991 and a Postgraduate Diploma in 1992. Williams made his professional debut in 1992 as Guglielmo in Mozart's Così fan tutte with the Welsh National Opera. He quickly gained recognition for his rich, warm voice and his ability to convey emotion through his singing. He has since performed with many of the world's leading opera companies and orchestras, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the English National Opera, the Scottish Opera, the Welsh National Opera, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. One of Williams' most notable performances was his portrayal of the title role in Benjamin Britten's Billy Budd at the Royal Opera House in 2012.
