Quirine Viersen is a renowned Dutch cellist who has established herself as one of the most prominent classical musicians of her generation. Born on October 31, 1972, in Amsterdam, Viersen showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of five. She received her first lessons from her father, who was a cellist himself, and later studied with renowned teachers such as Dmitri Ferschtman and William Pleeth.
