Over the years, Rose has conducted many notable performances and premieres. In 2003, he conducted the world premiere of John Harbison's opera "Full Moon in March" at the Boston Lyric Opera. He has also conducted the premieres of works by composers such as Michael Gandolfi, David Rakowski, and Derek Bermel. In addition to his work with BMOP, Rose has also conducted many other orchestras and ensembles, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He has also conducted opera productions at the Santa Fe Opera, the Glimmerglass Opera, and the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Rose has received many awards and honors for his work as a conductor.
