Maarten Engeltjes is a Dutch countertenor who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on May 23, 1984, in the Netherlands, Engeltjes grew up in a musical family. His father was a conductor and his mother was a singer, so it was only natural that he would develop a love for music at a young age. Engeltjes began his musical training at the age of six, when he started playing the violin. However, he soon discovered that his true passion was singing, and he began taking voice lessons.
