Behzod Abduraimov is a world-renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences with his virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of some of the most challenging works in the piano repertoire. Born on September 28, 1990, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Abduraimov showed an early aptitude for music and began studying the piano at the age of five. Abduraimov's talent was quickly recognized, and he was accepted into the Uspensky State Central Lyceum in Tashkent, a prestigious school for gifted young musicians. There, he studied with Tamara Popovich, a renowned piano teacher who had trained many successful pianists. Abduraimov's talent continued to blossom under Popovich's guidance, and he won his first international competition at the age of 15, taking first prize at the 2005 London International Piano Competition.
