Jesse Levy is a renowned cellist and conductor in the world of classical music. Born on December 6, 1948, in New York City, Levy grew up in a family of musicians. His father, Morris Levy, was a violinist and conductor, and his mother, Ruth Levy, was a pianist. From a young age, Jesse was exposed to classical music and began playing the cello at the age of six. Levy's talent was evident from the start, and he quickly became a sought-after performer. He attended the Juilliard School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of Leonard Rose, one of the most prominent cellists of the 20th century.
