Eva-Maria Westbroek is a Dutch soprano who has established herself as one of the leading opera singers of her generation. Born on April 26, 1970, in Deventer, Netherlands, Westbroek grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and made her professional debut in 1995 as Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly at the Netherlands Opera.
