He later picked up the violin and the cello, and by the age of ten, he was already performing in public. Singer attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. He graduated with honors in 2007 and went on to pursue a career as a soloist and chamber musician. Singer's talent and dedication to his craft quickly earned him recognition in the classical music world. In 2008, he won the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is awarded to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise for a career in classical music. The grant provided Singer with financial support and helped him establish himself as a rising star in the industry. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, such as Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, and Daniel Barenboim. One of Singer's most memorable performances was his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010. He performed the Dvorak Cello Concerto with the New York Philharmonic, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. The New York Times praised his performance, calling it "a revelation" and "a triumph." Singer has also made a name for himself as a chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's most celebrated ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. In 2015, he formed his own chamber group, the Singer Quartet, which has received critical acclaim for its innovative programming and virtuosic performances. He has taught masterclasses at many prestigious institutions, including the Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
