Mathieu Lussier is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on May 18, 1973, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. From a young age, Lussier showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Lussier began his musical journey by learning to play the recorder at the age of six. He has also worked with some of the world's most celebrated conductors, including Bernard Haitink, Kent Nagano, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Lussier's work as a composer has also been widely recognized. He has written numerous pieces for chamber ensembles, orchestras, and solo instruments, and his music has been performed by some of the world's most respected musicians. In 2009, he was awarded the Prix Opus for Best New Composition for his piece "Le Dernier Galop," which was commissioned by Les Violons du Roy.
