Normand Forget is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born in Montreal, Canada, on August 22, 1956, Forget showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He later switched to the trumpet, which became his primary instrument. Forget's musical journey began in earnest when he enrolled at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where he studied under the tutelage of Raoul Sosa. He later continued his studies at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied with William Vacchiano, the principal trumpeter of the New York Philharmonic. After completing his studies, Forget began his professional career as a trumpeter, performing with various orchestras and ensembles. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented musician, and his career took off. In 1981, he was appointed principal trumpet of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, a position he held for 25 years. During his tenure with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Forget performed in numerous concerts and recordings, both in Canada and abroad.
