Born on May 22, 1996, in Lyon, France, Fouchenneret showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He was encouraged by his parents, who were both amateur musicians, and received his first piano lessons from his mother. Fouchenneret's talent was quickly recognized, and he began to study with renowned pianists such as Jean-François Heisser and Michel Dalberto. He also attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied with Hortense Cartier-Bresson and Claire Désert. Fouchenneret's career as a concert pianist began to take off in 2013, when he won first prize at the International Piano Competition of Lagny-sur-Marne. This was followed by a series of successful performances in France and abroad, including appearances at the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron, the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, and the Festival de Piano de La Grange de Meslay. In 2016, Fouchenneret won first prize at the prestigious Concours International de Piano d'Epinal, which helped to establish him as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. He has since performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. Fouchenneret's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as more contemporary composers such as Messiaen and Ligeti. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the music of Schumann, and has recorded a critically acclaimed album of Schumann's piano works for the Aparté label. In addition to his career as a performer, Fouchenneret is also a dedicated teacher and has given masterclasses at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Fouchenneret's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, musical sensitivity, and emotional depth. He has been described as a "pianist of rare talent" by the French newspaper Le Figaro, and as "a musician of great intelligence and sensitivity" by the German magazine Pianonews. Despite his young age, Fouchenneret has already received numerous awards and accolades for his performances. In addition to his first prizes at the International Piano Competition of Lagny-sur-Marne and the Concours International de Piano d'Epinal, he has also been awarded the Prix de la Fondation Safran pour la Musique and the Prix de la Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca.
