He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Havenith showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Havenith's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Jan Wijn, at the age of eight. Under Wijn's guidance, Havenith developed his skills and technique, and by the age of 12, he had won his first piano competition. Havenith continued to excel in his musical studies and went on to study at the Conservatorium Maastricht, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During his time at the conservatory, Havenith had the opportunity to study with some of the most renowned pianists in the world, including Menahem Pressler, Boris Berman, and András Schiff. Havenith's talent and dedication to his craft did not go unnoticed, and he quickly began to make a name for himself in the classical music world. In 2007, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Enschede, Netherlands, and in 2008, he was a finalist at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, Belgium. Over the years, Havenith has performed in some of the most renowned concert halls in the world, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most esteemed orchestras, including the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic, and the Orchestre National de Lille. One of Havenith's most notable performances was his debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2012, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with critics praising Havenith's technical prowess and musical sensitivity. In addition to his performances, Havenith is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at various music schools and conservatories throughout Europe. He is currently a professor of piano at the Conservatorium Maastricht, where he continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of musicians. Throughout his career, Havenith has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the classical music world. In 2014, he was awarded the Dutch Classical Talent Award, which recognizes young classical musicians who show exceptional talent and promise.
