Born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1969, Margulis showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of five. His parents, both professional musicians, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He quickly developed a reputation as a prodigy, winning numerous competitions and earning accolades for his technical prowess and musical sensitivity.
