Vestard Shimkus is a Latvian classical pianist and composer who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and innovative compositions. Born on August 22, 1977, in Riga, Latvia, Shimkus showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He was raised in a family of musicians, with his father being a composer and his mother a pianist, which greatly influenced his musical development.
