Born on May 5, 1985, in Helsinki, Finland, Hirvikangas began playing the guitar at the age of six and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Hirvikangas received his early musical training at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he studied with renowned guitarists Timo Korhonen and Jukka Savijoki. He later continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where he studied with the legendary guitarist Roberto Aussel. Throughout his career, Hirvikangas has been recognized for his exceptional musicianship and technical prowess. In 2007, he won first prize in the International Guitar Competition in Tampere, Finland, and in 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Finnish Guitarist of the Year award.
