Rosenbaum began playing the piano at a young age and showed great talent from the start. Rosenbaum's musical education began at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he studied under the renowned pianist and composer, Knudåge Riisager. He later continued his studies in Paris with the legendary pianist, Alfred Cortot. Rosenbaum's training was rigorous, and he spent many hours practicing and perfecting his technique. Rosenbaum made his debut as a concert pianist in 1947, and his performance was met with critical acclaim. In 1950, he won the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, which further cemented his status as a rising star in the classical music world.
