The ensemble's name, Rincontro, means "encounter" in Italian, and reflects the group's desire to bring together different musical traditions and styles. Since its founding, Rincontro has performed at many of the world's leading music festivals and concert halls, including the Festival de Musique de Menton, the Festival de Musique de La Chaise-Dieu, and the Festival de Musique de Besançon. The ensemble has also performed at the prestigious Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Wigmore Hall in London, and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. One of the highlights of Rincontro's career was their performance at the Festival de Musique de Menton in 2016.
