Jennifer Elowitch is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist, chamber musician, and educator. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1971, Elowitch grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a cellist, so it was only natural that Elowitch would follow in their footsteps. Elowitch began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied with some of the best teachers in the Boston area, including Roman Totenberg and Marylou Speaker Churchill. Elowitch also attended the New England Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance. After completing her studies, Elowitch began her professional career as a violinist. She quickly established herself as a sought-after performer, playing with some of the top orchestras in the country, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Elowitch also became a member of the Boston Chamber Music Society, where she performed regularly with other renowned musicians. One of the highlights of Elowitch's career was her performance at the White House in 1998. She was invited to play for President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton, along with other distinguished guests. Elowitch's performance was well-received, and she was praised for her skill and artistry. In addition to her performing career, Elowitch is also an accomplished educator. She has taught at several prestigious institutions, including the New England Conservatory of Music, the Longy School of Music, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
