Charles Vernon is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on February 7, 1948, in New York City, United States. From a young age, Vernon showed a keen interest in music and began playing the trombone at the age of 10. He was inspired by his father, who was a professional trombonist and played in the New York Philharmonic. Vernon's talent was evident from the beginning, and he quickly became a standout performer in his school's music program. He went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1970. After graduation, Vernon began his professional career as a freelance musician, playing with various orchestras and ensembles in New York City. In 1976, Vernon joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as the principal trombonist, a position he held for over 30 years.
