Ute Lemper is a German singer and actress who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on July 4, 1963, in Münster, Germany, Lemper grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a conductor and her mother was a singer, so it was only natural that she would follow in their footsteps. Lemper began her musical training at a young age, studying piano, dance, and voice. She attended the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, where she studied under the renowned soprano Ingeborg Hallstein. After completing her studies, Lemper began performing in operas and musicals throughout Germany. In 1983, Lemper made her professional debut in the musical "Cats" in Vienna, Austria.
