Born on May 5, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Bareva showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both music lovers, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Bareva's early musical education was at the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied with renowned Bulgarian pianist and pedagogue, Prof. Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova. She continued her studies at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Prof. Milena Mollova. In 2007, Bareva moved to the United States to pursue further studies at the University of North Texas, where she earned a Master's degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Pamela Mia Paul. She also completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas, where she studied with Dr. Gustavo Romero. Bareva's musical career has been marked by numerous awards and accolades. In 2003, she won first prize at the National Piano Competition "Svetoslav Obretenov" in Provadia, Bulgaria. In 2005, she was awarded the "Young Musician of the Year" prize by the Bulgarian National Radio. In 2008, she won first prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York City, which led to her debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Since then, Bareva has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe and the United States. She has appeared in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, the Bulgarian National Palace of Culture, and the Dallas Museum of Art. She has also been a featured soloist with orchestras such as the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the North Texas Symphony Orchestra, and the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Bareva's repertoire is diverse and includes works by classical and contemporary composers. She has a particular affinity for the music of Frederic Chopin, and her performances of his works have been praised for their sensitivity and musicality. She has also championed the music of Bulgarian composers, including Pancho Vladigerov and Marin Goleminov. In addition to her performing career, Bareva is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught piano at the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas, and she currently maintains a private studio in Dallas, Texas.
