Born on 22nd June 1930 in London, England, Graeme showed an early interest in music and began playing the flute at the age of 12. He received his early music education at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned flutist Geoffrey Gilbert. Graeme's talent as a flutist was evident from an early age, and he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional skills. In 1950, he won the prestigious Queen's Prize at the Royal Academy of Music, which marked the beginning of his illustrious career as a musician. He went on to perform with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Throughout his career, Graeme was known for his exceptional technique and his ability to bring out the nuances of the music he played.
