David Enlow is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a virtuoso organist, pianist, and conductor. Born in 1974 in New York City, Enlow grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. His father was a professional cellist, and his mother was a pianist and music teacher. Enlow began his musical training at the age of five, studying piano with his mother. He showed exceptional talent and quickly progressed, winning his first piano competition at the age of eight. He continued to study piano throughout his childhood and adolescence, and also began to learn the organ at the age of 12. Enlow attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. He also studied organ with Paul Jacobs, one of the world's leading organists. After completing his undergraduate studies, Enlow continued his education at the Yale School of Music, where he earned a Master of Music degree in organ performance. Enlow's career as a professional musician began while he was still a student at Yale. He was appointed as the organist and choirmaster at the Church of the Resurrection in New York City, a position he held for several years. He also began to perform as a soloist and chamber musician, and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young organists in the country. Enlow's career continued to flourish in the years that followed. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at many of the world's most prestigious concert halls and music festivals, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the Ravinia Festival. He has also performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his work as a performer, Enlow is also an accomplished conductor. He has conducted many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. He has also served as the music director of several orchestras, including the New York City Symphony and the New York Youth Symphony. Enlow has received many awards and honors throughout his career. He was the recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2003, which is awarded to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise for a career in classical music. He has also been awarded the Prix de Rome, the highest honor for young musicians in France, and the Grand Prix du Disque, the highest honor for recordings in France. Enlow is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught at several of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School, the Yale School of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music. He has also mentored many young musicians who have gone on to successful careers in classical music. Enlow's repertoire as a performer and conductor is vast and varied. He is known for his interpretations of the works of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, as well as for his performances of contemporary music. He has also recorded many albums, including several critically acclaimed recordings of Bach's organ music.
