Marian Nowakowski was born on May 15, 1985, in Warsaw, Poland. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Marian showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Marian's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Marian had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigy. In 1996, Marian's family moved to the United States, where he continued his musical education. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. During his time at Juilliard, Marian won several prestigious awards, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition. After graduating from Juilliard, Marian began performing professionally and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young pianists of his generation. He made his debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2008, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5.
