Christina Petrowska Quilico is a renowned classical pianist, composer, and professor. She was born on May 20, 1948, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Ukrainian immigrant parents. Her father, Michael Petrowsky, was a violinist, and her mother, Olga Petrowska, was a pianist. Christina grew up in a musical family and started playing the piano at the age of four. Christina's talent was evident from a young age, and she began performing in public at the age of six. She won her first competition at the age of eight and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. She studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she earned her ARCT diploma in piano performance at the age of 14. In 1966, Christina made her debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1. She went on to perform with many other orchestras, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
