Gabriel Tchalik is a French classical violinist who was born on May 23, 1988, in Paris, France. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a violinist and his mother a pianist. Gabriel began playing the violin at the age of four, and by the age of six, he was already performing in public. Gabriel's talent was recognized early on, and he was accepted into the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris at the age of 14. He studied under the guidance of Boris Garlitsky, and later under the tutelage of Jean-Jacques Kantorow. Gabriel's talent and hard work paid off, and he graduated with honors from the conservatory in 2008. After graduating, Gabriel began performing in various concerts and festivals around the world. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented and passionate performer, and his performances were praised for their technical skill and emotional depth. In 2010, Gabriel won first prize at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, which further cemented his reputation as one of the most promising young violinists of his generation. Since then, Gabriel has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Gabriel's repertoire is diverse, and he is equally comfortable performing classical works as he is performing contemporary pieces. He has recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of the complete works for violin and piano by Maurice Ravel, which was released in 2016. In addition to his performing career, Gabriel is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught masterclasses at several prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
