Lea Desandre is a French classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of opera and baroque music. Born on May 14, 1992, in Paris, France, Desandre grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother was a singer, and her father was a composer and conductor. From a young age, Desandre was exposed to classical music and began singing in choirs. Desandre began her formal music education at the Conservatoire Ă Rayonnement RĂ©gional de Paris, where she studied voice and piano. She later continued her studies at the Conservatoire National SupĂ©rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she received a degree in voice. Desandre's career as a professional musician began in 2015 when she won the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Baroque Singing Competition in Froville, France. One of Desandre's most notable performances was in the 2017 production of Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Salzburg Festival.
