Frédéric Mellardi was born on May 12, 1985, in Paris, France. He was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional classical musicians. His father was a renowned cellist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Mellardi was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Mellardi's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his mother and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. By the age of ten, he had already won several local piano competitions and was performing in public regularly. In 1997, Mellardi was accepted into the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Pierre-Laurent Aimard. After graduating from the conservatory in 2005, Mellardi began performing professionally. In 2012, Mellardi released his debut album, which featured works by Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy. In 2015, Mellardi was awarded the prestigious International Classical Music Award for his recording of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major. The award recognized Mellardi's exceptional talent and his contribution to the world of classical music. Throughout his career, Mellardi has remained committed to promoting classical music to a wider audience.
